Refund Policy
Promptly
Last updated: 7 August 2026
1. Who you are buying from
Promptly courses are sold through Lemon Squeezy LLC, which acts as the merchant of record for every purchase. This means:
- Lemon Squeezy is the legal seller of record and the entity that appears on your bank or card statement.
- Lemon Squeezy is responsible for processing your payment, calculating and remitting any applicable sales tax or VAT, and processing refunds and payment disputes.
- Promptly ("we", "us", "our") creates the course content and licenses it to you.
This Refund Policy sets out the circumstances in which we will approve a refund. Refunds are processed through Lemon Squeezy. Lemon Squeezy's own Buyer Terms and Conditions also apply to your purchase, and Lemon Squeezy may issue a refund at its own discretion independently of this policy.
2. Our refund guarantee
We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on all first-time course purchases.
If you are not satisfied with the course for any reason, contact us within 14 days of your purchase date and we will refund you in full. You do not need to explain your reasons, provide evidence of how much of the course you completed, or justify your decision.
We would appreciate hearing what did not work for you, because it helps us improve — but a response is entirely optional and will never be a condition of your refund.
3. How to request a refund
Email support.promptly@gmail.com with:
- the email address you used at checkout, and
- your Lemon Squeezy order number (shown on your receipt email).
That is all we require. We aim to acknowledge every request within one business day and to approve eligible requests within two business days.
You may also contact Lemon Squeezy directly using the contact details on your receipt.
4. When we may decline a refund
We reserve the right to decline a refund request, or to refuse future purchases, where:
(a) The request falls outside the 14-day window. Requests made after 14 days from the purchase date fall outside our guarantee. We may still grant them at our discretion, and we will always grant them where required by law.
(b) There is evidence of abuse. For example, where an account has downloaded or exported a substantial volume of course materials in a pattern inconsistent with normal use before requesting a refund; where the same person has previously purchased and refunded our courses; or where a refund is requested in connection with a breach of our Terms of Use.
(c) Access credentials have been shared or the content redistributed. Our courses are licensed for a single individual. Where we have reasonable evidence that access has been shared, resold, or the content republished, we may decline a refund and terminate access without refund.
(d) The purchase was fraudulent. Including purchases made with a payment method the purchaser was not authorised to use.
Where we decline a request, we will tell you why in writing.
5. Subscriptions and recurring plans
If you purchased a recurring subscription:
- You can cancel at any time through the customer portal link in your Lemon Squeezy receipt email, or by emailing us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
- Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep access for the remainder of the period you have already paid for.
- The 14-day guarantee in Section 2 applies to your first payment on a subscription.
- We do not generally refund renewal payments for periods already elapsed. However, if a renewal charge was genuinely unexpected — for example, you intended to cancel and did not realise the plan renewed — contact us within 14 days of that charge and we will normally refund it. We would rather return your money than have you dispute the charge with your bank.
- We will always give you advance notice by email before a price change takes effect, and you may cancel before it applies.
6. Consumers in the European Union, EEA and United Kingdom
Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights.
As a consumer, you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance purchases of digital content. Where digital content is supplied immediately, that right is lost once supply has begun, provided you gave your prior express consent to immediate supply and acknowledged that you would lose the right of withdrawal. This consent is collected at checkout by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record.
In practice this does not disadvantage you, because our voluntary 14-day guarantee in Section 2 gives you the same 14-day window with no conditions attached — including for content you have already accessed.
You also retain your statutory rights in respect of digital content that is defective, not as described, or does not conform to the contract. These rights are not affected by the time limits in this policy.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled a complaint, you may use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr, or contact the consumer protection authority in your country of residence.
7. How refunds are paid
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method through Lemon Squeezy. Depending on your bank or card issuer, funds typically appear within 5–10 business days, and occasionally longer.
We do not offer refunds in cash, store credit, or to a different payment method than the one used for purchase.
Where a refund is issued, your access to the course will be revoked.
8. Please talk to us before contacting your bank
If something has gone wrong, email support.promptly@gmail.com first. We will almost always resolve it faster than a bank dispute, which typically takes several weeks and may result in your Lemon Squeezy account being restricted.
We would rather refund you promptly than win an argument.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The version in force at the time of your purchase is the one that applies to that purchase. We will update the "Last updated" date above whenever changes are made.
